PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The KIMBLE® KIMAX® Reusable Screw Thread Culture Tube is precision-manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3 and supplied with unattached phenolic screw-thread caps. Series 45066 tubes feature a rubber liner meeting ASTM E982 Type VI, Class A requirements, while Series 45066A tubes use PTFE-faced rubber liners to meet ASTM E982 Type VI, Class B. The 20 × 125 mm format is historically used for insulin determinations (Alving, Rubin & Millor, J. Biol. Chem. 127, 3, March 1939). All tubes and caps are fully autoclavable.
