MAST DM104D BRAIN HEART INFUSION AGAR

Product Introduction MAST DM104D Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) Agar is a rich, non‑selective dehydrated medium formulated for the cultivation and maintenance of a wide range of microorganisms, including fastidious bacteria, yeasts and moulds. When supplemented with blood or other additives, it supports enhanced recovery and expression of haemolytic reactions and can be used for primary isolation, subculture and enrichment.

Features

Rich nutrient base suitable for fastidious organisms (e.g., Streptococcus, Neisseria).
Supports growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds; with 10% sterile defibrinated blood can support growth of certain fungi (e.g., Histoplasma).
Supplied as dehydrated powder for on‑site preparation; stable packaged format for routine laboratory use.
Compatible with selective supplementation (antibiotics) to tailor for specific pathogens when required.
